Your Fitness mantra

I believe that eating healthy food, running and loads of weight lifting helps a person keep fit.

When did you start playing?

I started playing at the age of 6 inspired by Sachin Tendulkar. I wanted to be like him.

One teacher you would like to have as your coach.

I would like the former Indian Test Cricketer, Mr. Vijay Bhardwaj to be my coach. He has great talent and I'm sure I can learn a lot from him.

The toughest punishment given to you by your coach

My coach told me that I have to bowl six balls on the same spot. My coach refused to teach me until I do it.

You are chosen to endorse a brand, and you get to choose the other cast. Who will it be?

I will choose Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He is a great cricket player and a very inspiring human being. It would be an honour to interact and share screen with him.

You have a chance to play another sport, which one would it be?

It would be badminton. Badminton is a very entertaining sport to play.

What would be your ultimate achievement?

My ultimate accomplishment would be to play for India and feature in ICC World XI.

How will you want to be known in 10 years from now?

I am called the boy with "The Golden Arm" at school. In future I want to be known as "Likhit Bannur: The man with the Golden Arm" by the whole world.

In what area of your game do you think you need to improve?

I think I need to be more patient and consistent in my game. It is very important to maintain balance and have a focused mind during any game.

Who is your favorite opponent?

I like to play against teams like Australia. The Australian team is physically and mentally strong. They are a good team and it's challenging and thrilling to play with them.

Who had the greatest influence in your life?

My family has the greatest influence on me, especially my grandfather. He passed away a few years ago. He was the one who took care of me and motivated me. He used to wake up in the morning and do everything for me. He used to tie my shoe laces, carry my bag and lunch box to school, take me to the ground, he even used to feed me and bring me back home. I miss my grandad. My family plays a very important role in my life. They motivate me to work hard and make sure that I have everything I need.

What matters the most during 'Do or Die' situations?

"M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story" is my favourite sports movie. The movie portrays the struggle, sacrifice and hard work that legendary athletes undertake in their early days. The movie is a true motivation for young athletes.

Your short and long term goals.

My short term goal is to play for Karnataka Ranji Trophy in a year. My long term goal is to play for India.

What’s the book you recently read?

"Playing It My Way", Sachin Tendulkar’s autobiography is a wonderful book that I recently read. The book beautifully unravels Sachin's journey from his childhood to becoming a legend. The book shows his tremendous hard work, passion, values and self-discipline. The book is very inspiring.

Your most Embarrassing moment

Once, I slipped down while receiving an award. It was really embarrassing.

One super power you wish you had

I wish I had the super power to read every girl's mind.

If elected as sports minister of India, what are the three changes you would bring into sports industry in India?

I would eradicate corruption. I will make sure athletes from all backgrounds get good facilities to improve their skills and shine in their sport. I will also increase the salaries of people involved in sports.

One message to your opponents

No matter what plans you have for me, I'm going to rip you apart in the field.

Your biggest achievements so far

Representing Karnataka since the age of 12 is my biggest achievement so far.

Do you hold any record?

Yes, I hold a 4 ball 4 wickets record. It's a record I hold at school level, yet to be broken.
