Procam International today announced the 13th edition of ‘World Athletics’ Gold Label Race, Tata Consultancy Services World 10K Bengaluru which was scheduled to take place on Sunday, 17 May 2020, will be rescheduled to a later date.
With the COVID-19 pandemic impacting millions of lives world over, and the rapidly changing scenario, it was imperative to take this necessary action for the safety of all stakeholders’ world over. The event has also suspended registrations for all categories beginning today.
Vivek Singh, Jt., Managing Director, Procam International, said, “The World as we know is going through a very difficult situation, that demands utmost care and attention from all of us. We know many of our runners are eagerly awaiting the 13th edition of the event and have spent time training for the same. But the circumstances arising due to the COVID-19 pandemic are such that we have had to take this difficult decision.”
He further added, “We are closely working in conjunction with the state, international and national athletic bodies to identify a suitable date for the event. We will keep you abreast of developments.”
For the benefit of runners who have already registered for the 2020 edition, their entry will be automatically transferred to the new race date, without any payment.
Over the next few days, Procam International will confirm the rescheduled Race Day date. Additional information on this and all related matters will follow, with regular updates on our website and social media handles.
In the past, we have been faced by challenges of different magnitudes, but none that we have not overcome with the support of our partners and the running community.
