Your Fitness mantra

Eat what you want and do what you love, but do it well.

When did you start playing tennis?

I started on 24 December 2007. I began playing after developing a liking for it while watching my elder brother play.

Any pre-match, post-match rituals you follow

I always listen to music on my headphones; a special playlist designed to inspire and pump me up!

One Match you are very proud of

Winning the doubles nationals without dropping a single set throughout.

What was the toughest punishment  given to you by your coach

The punishment was to complete 40 laps, for talking too much.

Sport you would consider switching court with

I would play basketball because the speed at which the sport progresses is fascinating.

How would you want to be known in 10 years from now?

I want to be known as the best doubles player in the world.

In what area of your game do you think you need to improve?

I need to improve my stamina and strength.

Is sport a natural talent or a skill that is developed?

I feel I have a certain talent for the sport, which I have managed to nurture over the period.

Perks of being an athlete

You learn how to deal with wins and losses.

Favourite opponent?

My favourite would be my best friend Shivani Amineni because we always play very dramatic matches.

Any secret skills?

I'm not a very private person and therefore most of my skills are well known. I write good poems and short stories and also sing decently well (personal opinion). I can also whistle really well.

Your most prized possession?

Probably my first trophy as a kid.

Your dream ride?

I'm not a huge fan of cars, but I always dream of owning a private jet. haha.

Getting inked!

A yin and yang or the quote "This too shall pass," to remind me to be unworried when I'm down and not to be arrogant when I'm riding high.

Your short and long-term goals

My short-term goal is to play a Junior grand slam and my long-term goal is to play in the Olympics.

The last book you read

The one I read recently: 'Harry Potter and the Cursed child.'

The scariest experience?

The scariest experience was when I was affected by a severe knee injury, which almost stopped my career.

Childhood memory?

Playing Shahrukh Khan in a play.

Most Embarrassing moment

Fainting on the day of the investiture ceremony in my school, just after being given the head girl badge.

Literally everyone!
